Quick answer: “Failed to Authorize” means the server rejected your login. Re-enter your username, password and server URL (copy-paste them, and include http:// and the port), make sure your subscription is active, close the app on any other device, turn off your VPN and clear the app cache. If it still fails, the server may be in maintenance — wait 15 minutes or contact support.
What “Failed to Authorize” actually means
- The app reached the server — your internet is working.
- The server checked your username and password.
- Something about the login was rejected: wrong details, an expired account, or too many devices at once.
That is why the fixes below start with the login itself.
How to fix it, step by step
Re-enter your login details (copy-paste them)
Delete the profile in IPTV Smarters, add a new one and paste the username, password and server URL from your activation message instead of typing them. They are case-sensitive, and the URL must include
http://and the port.Check that your subscription is active
An expired line shows “Failed to Authorize” rather than a clear expiry message. Check your plan end date or ask us on WhatsApp.
Close the app on your other devices
A plan streams on one device at a time. Close Smarters on the other TV, phone or box, wait a minute, then log in again.
Turn off your VPN
Some VPN servers block the login request. Disable the VPN (or try another server), restart the router and try again — or test on mobile data.
Clear the app cache or reinstall
On Firestick/Android: Settings > Applications > Manage installed applications > IPTV Smarters Pro > Clear cache (then Clear data). On Smart TV or iPhone: uninstall and reinstall.
Wait 15 minutes, then contact support
If everything checks out, the server may be under short maintenance. Try again in 15–20 minutes, or message us to check your line.
Avoid typing with the remote
Typing a long server URL with a TV remote is where most errors happen. Send the details to yourself and paste them on a phone, or ask us to send them again.
Common login mistakes
| Mistake | Example | Correct |
|---|---|---|
| Missing http:// | server.com:8080 | http://server.com:8080 |
| Missing port | http://server.com | http://server.com:8080 |
| Auto-capitalised username | John123 | john123 |
| Space at the end | pass123␣ | pass123 |
Quick checklist
- Username, password and URL pasted, not typed.
- URL starts with http:// and ends with the port.
- Subscription active.
- Logged out on every other device.
- VPN off.
- App cache cleared or app reinstalled.
Setting up again from scratch? Follow the guide for your device: Firestick, Smart TV, Android, iPhone and Apple TV.
Failed to Authorize questions
What does “Failed to Authorize” mean in IPTV Smarters?
The app reached the server, but the server refused the login — because of a wrong username, password or URL, an expired line, a second device already streaming, or a network blocking the request.
Is “Failed to Authorize” the same as “No Data Found”?
No. “No Data Found” usually means the app logged in but could not load the lists — a connection, cache or loading problem. See IPTV not working for that one.
Why does it work on my phone but not on my TV?
Almost always a typo made with the TV remote, or the phone is still streaming with the same login. Close the app on the phone and paste the details carefully on the TV.
Do I need a new subscription?
Only if your plan has ended. If it is active and the steps above do not help, message TrendyScreen support and we check your line straight away.
